Biography

Linda Petersson Ödbring is a Swedish contemporary artist based in Östersund, Jämtland. She holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and works across photography, sculpture, textile, film, installation, performance and public art.

Her interdisciplinary practice explores the relationship between people, landscapes and the stories connected to particular places. Her work often moves between the visible and the invisible – between history, memory, identity, nature and human experience.

A recurring interest in Petersson Ödbring’s practice is the interconnectedness between human beings, nature and the environments we inhabit. Through different materials and artistic approaches, she explores how places carry memories, experiences and stories, while also considering how our own lives and actions leave traces in the landscape.

Spirituality and existential questions are also recurring elements in her artistic practice. Her work can explore themes of transformation, presence, healing and the relationship between the individual and something greater than ourselves.

Petersson Ödbring is a member of the international artist group In the Process Of, where artists from different countries and artistic backgrounds meet through collaboration, dialogue and shared artistic processes. International exchange is an important part of her ongoing practice, creating encounters between different perspectives, places and experiences.
